Elvis has not left the building at a spot in White Lake that’s serving up food that honors the King of Rock and Roll. The shop is called Graceland Wine Shoppe, and it’s showcasing burning love for Elvis Presley in everything from the décor to the items on the menu.

A White Lake Township Liquor store claims their gyro is 'King' and to prove it -- has named its sandwiches based off all the stages of Elvis Presley's weight -- Skinny King, Regular King, Medium King and Fat King! Graceland Wine Shoppe in White Lake celebrates Elvis Presley everyday, but especially on the late singer's birthday, Jan. 8. 

"I always say the king never left the building. He still lives here,” says Dave Sharrak, owner of the store. Dave has been collecting Elvis for 37 years and has well over 2000 items in his collection.

Elvis Presley, often referred to the King of Rock and Roll, would have celebrated his 80th birthday. Dave Sharrak has been an Elvis fan for over 30 years. His business, Graceland Wine Shoppe in White Lake Township, is decorated with Elvis memorabilia – pictures, paintings, dolls, mugs, plates and clocks – all commemorating the King.

Dave Sharrak was only 13 waiting in Egypt for his immigration papers when he learned rock-n-roll legend Elvis Presley had died.

“Even there, people were talking about it,” said Sharrak, a native-born Iraqi Chaldean.

Today Sharrak owns what might be considered an Elvis shrine with a party store in the middle of it.
